At the junction (stop light) of Ahukini Road and Highway 56, turn left onto Highway 56. You will be looking directly at KFC and Red Dirt shirt retail store when you turn left.

After turning left onto Highway 56 you will be in the town of Lihue. Get in the right lane. When you reach the junction of Highway 56 and Highway 50 veer left onto Highway 50 towards Poipu and Koloa.

Remain on Highway 50 for about 8-9 miles. This two-lane road will take you directly past Kukui Grove Shopping Center (stop for groceries if you like at Star Market) and Kauai Community College, sugar cane fields and various farming areas on your way to Poipu.

Be prepared to turn left after approximately 8 miles, onto Highway 520 (Maluhia Road). Highway signs will assist you in locating this turn. Follow the signs directing you to Poipu and Koloa.

At the end of Highway 520 you will be in Old Koloa Town. Turn right at the junction (stop sign) of Highway 520 (Maluhia Road) and Highway 530 (Koloa Road).

Drive 200 yards on Koloa Road to the Chevron gas station on your left and turn left onto Poipu Road. You are now on Poipu Road.

Poipu Road will take you through the homes, churches and shops of Koloa. You will see a large stone wall stating “Welcome To Poipu Beach”. You will then approach a traffic circle. Veer right to enter the traffic circle. Take the second right onto Lawai Road which also is on the way to > Spouting Horn.

Once on Lawai Road, drive slowly. You will be taking the second left after a few yards onto Hoona Road. You will immediately approach a fork in the road. Take the very first left turn onto Puuholo Road. Continue on Puuholo Road for about 300 yards which will take you through a residential area and directly into the Whalers Cove parking lot.

You will see the Whalers Cove waterfall sign as you enter our parking lot. Please turn to your right as you enter the parking lot, our registration office is directly adjacent to this sign.
